We had the opportunity to experience carrying a Mikoshi at the Yamatocho Hachiman Shrine Annual Festival.

On Sunday, July 20th, we had the opportunity to experience carrying a Mikoshi (portable shrine) with the help of the Wakamutsukai Youth Division in Yamatocho, Nakano Ward.

From ANIC, learners from Italy and Taiwan participated.

There were many scenes of people interacting with the residents as they carried the Mikoshi together.

At the end, we even took part in the sanbonjime (three sets of three claps and one final clap done at the end of successful party), making it a day where we were able to experience Japanese culture.
