The Yayoi Japanese Language Classroom participated in the Yayoi District Festival.
The Yayoi District Festival took place at the Yayoi Community Activity Centre on Sunday, 19th October.
The Yayoi Japanese Language Classroom holds a session every week at the Yayoi Community Activity Centre. As we were invited, it was a pleasure for us to join the Festival.
The time was divided into two sessions: at the first session, Chinese learners of Japanese prepared Chinese tea and Chinese sweets were served with it.
At the second session, madeleines, which we had asked French learners of Japanese to bake, were served with coffee and tea.
An origami corner was set up for the younger Chinese learners, who enjoyed it with the participants.
Although it was our first time participating, we had a valuable opportunity to interact with many members of the local community.
